August 2024: Autumn Leaves - But We Remain

Hello Dear SageHeads!

It has occurred to us we should probably tell you why we address you as “Sage Heads”.  It's simple!  Our last name is Salvia which also means “sage” the plant and “sage” as in wise.  We think you are very wise!  Therefore: SageHeads!  Also it makes us feel like we have a fan base. (“Tee hee”, as they used to say before emoticons became the rage.)

So much is going on right now.  We've had the great good fortune to have Dennis McNally take us under his wing to support Henry's Hideaway.  He's set up tons of interviews for us, and we're actually hearing our songs being played on the radio.  Haven't crashed the car yet, but I do find myself tuning into local stations KPCA 103.3  KRCB 104.9 whenever I have to drive somewhere. Meanwhile, we are getting ready to bring you Amerikinda, set for release on September 21. It's a very satisfying feeling.

We'll be back at San Gregorio on Sunday August 18 from 2 to 5.  But you might want to get there earlier to hear our friends, The Keller Sisters, who are playing from 11 to 1.   And Kathy Ray will be our special guest bass player that day, too.

We are really looking forward to  Saturday September 21 for our Pacifica Performances show at The Hall (as in Mildred Owen Concert Hall).  It will be a pretty special night in concert. We will be playing Henry's Hideaway for the first set and the second set will mark the release and official debut of Amerikinda.  The evening is going to feature a whole passel of fine musicians. Alongside our usual suspects Dave Golia, Ken Owen, John Pearson, and David Phillips, we'll be joined by Sean Allen on guitar, Paul Olguin on bass, and vocal angels Keta Bill and Loralee Christensen.  Maybe others….anything could happen!  A sold out show would be a great way to mark this occasion!  Click here for tickets.

Hope to see you soon!

Kathleen and Henry
