The past year has been both challenging and rewarding, and we hope it went the same way for you. Coming up, we're planning on dressing up the duo with special guests as often as possible, and we can promise some very fun engagements for everyone involved, no matter what side of the bandstand you're sitting on. Our gigs for the first six months of 2018 will have us ranging about from a night of sharing with our fellow Brisbane artists, to our favorite home base at San Gregorio General Store, our Pacifica HQ at the Chit Chat Cafe, the fantastic Byrd & Beckett Books & Records in SF, the Pacifica Earth Day Celebration at Linda Mar Beach, and even a fundraiser for the Strong Second Chance Ranch in Petaluma, which helps rehab horses and find new homes for them. We wish you all a year of peace and love, and if you can't find those things, then perhaps a good stiff drink!
The Flying Salvias are a piano/vocal and sometimes guitar duo, playing their signature Ameri-kind-uh music, blending country, pop, blues, beatnik jazz, swing, and old hippy, though not usually all in the same song.
Flying Salvias in Piedmont
Friday night, just us and good food in this small, atmospheric cafe in the bustling Piedmont District near downtown Oakland. Only good and fun things happen here!
Flying Salvias Amid the Stacks
This book and record store is a great community gathering place. Come for our little concert, grab a book, stay for The Seducers at 7:30 pm. There is no cover here, but they do ask for contributions to pay the band. Beverages are usually also available.
Sunday Morning Come On Down
No cover. If you haven't been here yet, you owe yourself a nice Sunday drive through the Redwoods, or along the coast. End up here for bloody mary's, us, books, snacks, fun shopping, in whatever order you desire.
Flying Salvias Land in Pacifica!

The Flying Salvias
Father's Day is a full day at San Gregorio General Store! The Flying Salvias play from 11 to 1 and then, from 2 to 5, The Jones Gang will be delivering some great high-octane Americana. No cover. You can even go to the beach for a picnic during the break between bands. Henry, as most of you know, is also in The Jones Gang, and Kathleen's rumored to be sitting in for a tune or two.
Brunch with the Flying Salvias
Nothing canned about the music or the food, even though it is The Cannery Cafe. Great way to start your Saturday on this Memorial Day Weekend. No cover.

Flying Mother's Day
Join us for Mother's Day. It will be a perfect day for a ride down the coast with mum! No cover. If you are seeing a photo, it is of Kathleen and her mom. Note the halo over Kathleen's head.
Today, Tomorrow & Forever - a Tribute to the Legend
A tribute to Patsy Cline - featuring Margaret Belton as Patsy. Henry's on keys, and Kathleen's on background vocals. Maurice Tani, David Phillips, Jessica Rose, Mike Anderson, Roberta Burke.... a stellar line up! Doors open at 7.
Should be a glorious spring day! No cover, no worries, good times. In commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Easter Rising in Ireland, we'll be doing a couple readings from "The Spirit of the Nation", a book from 1898, full of original and ancient Irish ballads and songs. That ought to get you in the mood for Claddagh, who follow us at 2 pm.
Back at the home base. If you haven't been here yet, you don't know what you're missing. George Cattermole has created a truly special place for listening, reading, shopping, visiting, and... there is a full bar. Special coffee, too! Plus, we'll be there. No cover, but tips are encouraged... just sayin'...
Something for everyone! We'll be adding our musical art to the visual arts opening reception. Rydell Fellows in the Main Gallery, Art Guild of Pacifica in the West Gallery and the Veterans Art Guild in the East Gallery. Free and open to the public.
Benefit for San Mateo County Service League
Join us for a rather unusual event: the grand opening of the new San Mateo County Maple Street Correctional Center. This is San Mateo's new, co-ed, jail facility. There will be a ribbon cutting, tours, hors d'oeuvres, and us. This is a benefit for the Service League and if you believe in "Corrections with Compassion", rehabilitation over punishment, and want to help these good people continue their work, you may purchase a ticket to this event for $50, $30 of which is tax deductible. The Flying Salvias will be joined by our friends Big Lou, Little Dave Golia, and everyone's favorite drummer, Peter Tucker. There but for fortune...
Singer Songwriter Night w/the Keller Sisters
Our friends, The Keller Sisters, are songwriters-in-residence at the Bazaar for the month of February. We are really looking forward to joining them, and Maurice Tani, for a night of original music.
Free. Fun. New songs. Us. You. What else do we need?
Starting the year off right at our favorite place! Come and join us. All ages. No cover.
Last chance to catch The Flying Salvias in 2015! No cover. The Trieste meatballs are great! Not just a coffee place, but food, beer and wine. If you live in the East Bay, you can pretend you're in North Beach and you don't even have to cross the bridge.
